Attorney Jerry Geiger Announces Judicial Run

Stroudsburg attorney, Jerry Geiger, announced that he will run for Monroe County Judge.

Geiger has practiced law in Monroe County since 1986 and is a shareholder at the Newman Williams law firm in Stroudsburg where he focuses his practice on civil litigation. He is a 1982 honors graduate of Lafayette College where he received the Chase Government Prize, the Novak Prize in Government & Law and the Rexroth Prize in German. He graduated from the Dickinson School of Law in 1985 where he was chairman of the Appellate Moot Court.

Geiger is a past president of the Monroe County Bar Association, a federal court mediator, and a frequent presenter at continuing legal education seminars for attorneys.

Geiger is proud to have been awarded the Martindale Hubble AV Preeminent Rating in a survey of judges and his peers. This is the highest possible rating for an attorney in both ethical standards and legal ability.

He has jury trial experience throughout eastern Pennsylvania and has served on many local charitable boards.

Geiger said his campaign will focus on his years of legal experience and his commitment to ensure that all litigants are treated fairly and with respect. He plans on using his federal mediation training to encourage the early resolution of cases to help litigants avoid the emotional and financial burdens that are often the product of litigation.

Jerry is married to Karen Geiger and lives in Stroud Township. He has two children: Emily, an audiology student at the George Washington University, and Timothy, a Finance major at Drexel University.
