We support many local organizations but one of our favorites is the Pocono Youth Orchestra (PYO).
The PYO is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. It just performed its winter concert series at East Stroudsburg University. We are pleased to report that our students played to a full house.
The PYO gives students in eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey the opportunity to perform in a full symphony orchestra.
The PYO offers students scholarships through the generosity of many donors and, last year, partnered with the National Youth Orchestra of China for a stunning performance at ESU, recorded by National Public Radio.
Three of our shareholders are actively involved in the PYO.
Jerry Geiger is the President of the Board of Directors. Vince Rubino and Dave Horvath have children in the orchestras. All of their wives volunteer to help at the concerts.
Our firm has operated since 1923 in Monroe County and enjoys being a part of the community and supporting this worthwhile organization.
